A project is now showing on IndieGogo.com for the development of 14NM ASIC MINING CHIPS for Bitcoin mining gear. The project Team is noted as “Frank Leejun”, who describes himself as a Graduated Science Engineer major with a 3.84GPA from Atlantic City, NJ, USA who has created the CAD designs for the new technology and is seeking investors who can earn one of the first ever 14NM prototype Bitcoin mining machines on the market.
This news comes on the tail of other newly released reports from Bitmain that they have tested their new 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 and plan to release sales details about the new Bitmain S3 mining equipment using the new technology on their website 6-21-14.
The Bitmain 28NM chips are reported to save 20% in energy costs by providing more GH/s per wattage. The new Bitmain S3 specs and picture are noted below.

The latest updates on the 14NM making it to market seem unrealistic anytime soon but on his IndieGogo Project page Frank Leejun reported on 6-17-14.
“We got two contributions for 14nm ASIC blades! We are Happy to announce we MAY have half the funding for 5 and 14TH/s machines coming within the week! Stay tuned we’ll be sure to give you guys updates soon!”
The Bitmain S3 will be the best bang for your buck mining gear whenever it begins hitting the market. If another mining manufacturer can create a better 28NM or a new 14NM chip device, that would be a bigger deal the sooner it happens.
